Aix\u00f2 \u00e9s, en format <em>haiku<\/em>, <strong><em>Tocant el buit<\/em><\/strong>, de Joe Simpson. I \u00e9s real: l\u2019any 1985, Simon i Joe, dos\u00a0 joves brit\u00e0nics, intenten l\u2019ascensi\u00f3 al Siula Grande, un gegant de m\u00e9s de 6.000 m i parets verticals, als Andes del Per\u00fa. Despr\u00e9s de coronar, un accident d\u2019en Joe, amb fractura de cama inclosa, ja els complica molt l\u2019exist\u00e8ncia (dram\u00e0tica la descripci\u00f3 de les converses entre els dos companys, que saben, per\u00f2 no diuen). M\u00e9s tard, en Joe cau, llisca i queda penjant d\u2019un penya-segat, fora de la vista del Simon, que l\u2019assegura amb una corda. La meteorologia i les condicions f\u00edsiques dels alpinistes s\u00f3n extremes. Qu\u00e8 fer? Tallar o no tallar la corda? Enorme dilema moral. Trist final per en Joe, doncs?
